The Endless Road

You will unplug, strip back the noise, and gain clarity over the course of the 130 km journey.

A hiker walking along a narrow road, passing a small bridge over the Donaldson River in a forested area.
A person sitting at a picnic table inside a wooden shelter near a rural road on a rainy day.
Person sitting inside a tent at night, smiling and making a gesture with their hand, with a tree in front of them.

How it started

We set an ambitious target - 130km down the Western Explorer road in 4 days - and decided to play with the conditions.

  • No tents - just two 8x8m tarpaulins, metres of paracord & our ingenuity.

  • Other than snacks, our food was whatever we could carry in 1 large billy can.

We wanted to see what we were capable of.
We could survive it, but could we relish in it?

The plan was simple and sounded like heaps of fun.
It was a pilgrimage, down into the wilderness.

How it went

Picture this. Your feet are sore, your rain coat has been on and off all day, shoulders ache, and the banter died down an hour ago. It has been a long day, and you’re feeling your limit.

Then you see a river; the river you’ll be camping at.

You feel a second wind and now you're scoping out sticks, rocks, trees & dirt to get the perfect spot for the tarps. The backpack slips off your shoulders with a thud and you start rummaging for your tools - your weapons of mass relaxation. A pack of matches, the billy, your sleeping bag, & sachets of hot chocolate. Out comes the paracord, tent-pegs, and pillow.

We know some of you reading this will pick up what we’re putting down.

Meet Your Guides

Tom and Toby met on the Camino de Santiago— a 900km pilgrimage from the foothills of France to what the Romans believed was the end of the world, Spain's rugged west coast. Through the Meseta desert to the Galician mountains, we discovered that long walks yield deep clarity.

Our shared love for a hearty adventure became the foundation of something greater.
